Stupid Journalism

I don't know what's wrong with the so-called "journalist" who ran this news that I came across Mingguan Malaysia earlier today. He/she quoted a news item from US publication's TV Guide (which supposedly made his/her job infinitely easier). I bumped into the same news a few days ago, and was shocked to see it was horrifyingly translated with 80% of the facts deviated from the original.

This is the news. (source), the red line denotes the stupidity, followed by WTF? comment by me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Watak Edie dipersoalkan pelakon asal

(WTF? Edie Britt got a psychotic husband for sure, but where did the "journalist" got this fact from?)

(WTF? The actual fact is: as all Housewives fan would know, each of the main housewives character is loosely based on someone Marc Cherry (the show's creator) knew, and Sheridan was quoted as saying “I think that whoever Edie represented in Marc’s life was somebody he didn’t like,” “And he had a very difficult time distinguishing between fact and fiction.”)

(WTF? She's trying to RUN AWAY from her husband!) Drama ABC juga memetik adegan ketikanya sedang berduka cita bersama jirannya. (WTF?)

(Mildly WTF - Her character was killed to lighten the cost of the production by USD100-200K per episode) Selain itu, perbuatan Sheridan yang sering menggoda itu menyebabkan mereka terpaksa menanggung kos lebih. (WTF? Since when flirting attitude cost you money?)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

And this stupid journalist seems to miss a crucial point - Edie Britt is KILLED, which is the main reason why this whole interview happened. What's the problem exactly? Did the "journalist" ask his/her children to translate the article for their English exercise and mistakenly sent it to the printer?
